While Joe and I sat on the swing, Zane had fun crawling around the front yard today and trying to eat things. We would tell him no, and he would hold it up to show us as if to say, "But it's just a....." These are a few of the moments I was able to catch on camera.
"No, Zane. Don't eat that."
"But Mama, see, it's just a stick."
"No, Zane. Don't eat that.""But Mama, see, it's just the leaf of a weed I picked."
"No, Zane. Don't eat that.""But Mama, see, it's just a dead leaf."
"No Zane, Don't eat that.""But Mama, see, it's just a whole bunch of dead leaves."
How can we say no to this sweet face???

Oh, so sweet. It is hard to say No especially when they give that look. I love your backyard. That is my dream for our backyard- to be sorrounded by trees.
